Tarko Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what information we collect at Tarko, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Tarko Private Limited (“Tarko”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is the company that collects and processes Personal Data for the purposes described in this Policy. "Personal Data" is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. "Customer" is a legal entity with whom Tarko has an agreement to provide Services.

About Tarko and Edge-AI Data Processing

Tarko provides plug-and-play AI vision systems engineered for high-volume manufacturing and precision molding. By integrating embedded edge hardware and machine learning directly into assembly lines, we automate defect detection.

Data Security at the Edge: Unlike traditional cloud-based computer vision systems, Tarko’s optical inspection models process image and video data locally on industrial edge hardware. Real-time production feeds remain on your factory floor and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless explicitly configured by the Customer for model retraining (Active Learning) or analytics tracking.

Collection and Use of Personal Data

Tarko collects information, including Personal Data, for the following purposes:

  • Providing and managing the Service
  • Internal business purposes (including sales and marketing)
  • Recruiting and managing personnel
  • Invoicing and collecting payment for quoted engagements
  • To understand and improve our Services and Website

This Policy does not place limits on what we do with data that is aggregated and/or de-identified so it is no longer associated with an identifiable individual or Customer. Tarko Services are not directed to children under 16.

Providing and Managing the Service

In the course of engaging with prospective and current customers, Tarko collects the following categories of information:

Enquiry and Project Information: Contact information and company details are collected when you reach out to us, request a feasibility audit, or receive a quote. Additional project-related information is collected from customers over the course of an engagement. This is used to assess your enquiry, prepare a proposal, deliver the project, and facilitate communication.

Images Submitted During a Feasibility Audit: When you request a feasibility audit, you may send us photographs of parts, defects, or production line setups so we can assess whether an automated visual inspection system is a fit. These images are used to assess technical feasibility and to prepare a proposal. They are not used to train or improve models for any other customer. Images submitted for a feasibility assessment are retained for as long as necessary to complete that assessment and prepare a proposal, and are deleted if no engagement follows within 12 months.

Internal Business Purposes

Tarko collects information from you through our platform, social media, and other channels for the following purposes:

Responding to requests: When you request a feasibility audit, demo, or contact us with questions, we collect your name, job title, business email, and company information to facilitate your request and assist you in the future.

Informing you about products: We may use your contact information for marketing. We do not sell or rent your Personal Data to third parties. You can opt out at any time.

Managing personnel: If you apply for a job or join Tarko as an employee or contractor, our human resources department will use your provided information for performance management, compensation, benefits, and to verify eligibility.

Disclosure of your Personal Data

Tarko does not trade, rent, sell, or otherwise transfer Personal Data, except as set out in this policy:

Service Provider Arrangements: We may transfer data to third parties who process it on our behalf (e.g., hosting services, support software). They process data based on our instructions only.

Changes to Business Structure: Tarko may share data during a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization, or sale of assets.

Compliance with Laws: We may disclose Personal Data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements, court orders, and lawful requests.

Safety and Fraud Prevention: We may share data to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tarko or third parties, including enforcing contracts.

Your Rights

If we receive a request from an individual to access or update Personal Data collected on behalf of a Customer, we will direct that individual to the relevant Customer. If you submit Personal Data directly to Tarko, you may request access, updating, correction, or erasure of your Personal Data by submitting a written request to our Grievance Officer at the contact details below. We will acknowledge your request promptly and respond within 30 days, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain the data.

How We Protect Personal Data

Tarko takes various steps to protect the information you provide from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, taking into account the sensitivity of the data and the current state of technology. Our reliance on local edge processing inherently minimizes the risk of intercepting live operational data.
